On October 20th, 2011, Appalachian Voices and Southern Appalachian Mountain Stewards partnered to host a training for students at the UVA College at Wise. Thanks to Professor Bob VanGundy, we were able to present our training during a hydrology lab to both the students in that class and other interested students.
After the classroom session, we went out around campus to try out the water monitoring equipment. We look forward to the UVA Wise students helping out SAMS with testing around southwestern Virginia.
